From Otautahi, Christchurch, at 48, Peter was an older beginner at Aikido, having previously trained in Judo after his rugby playing years. Peter has always trained in the Iwama Style. He is most grateful for decade’s long tutelage from Kerry Madden Sensei and Roberts Shihan.

Peter is a company director and manager within agricultural export. Married to Judy, he is a dad, grandad, amateur oil painter, exerciser and fly fisher. Just into his 70’s Peter is now learning Tai Chi, which he feels enriches his ongoing Aikido training.
